Our Historic Home
Lake City Arts is proud to call the historic Hinsdale County Courthouse Annex our home. Built in 1880, this beautifully preserved structure originally served as an integral part of Lake City's early civic life. With its classic frontier architecture and rich past, the building has long stood as a cultural cornerstone in our community.
Over the decades, the space has transformed—from courthouse to community hub—and now thrives as a vibrant center for the arts. Today, it houses our gallery, performance stage, classrooms, and creative studios, continuing its legacy of public service in a new, inspiring way.
When you walk through our doors, you're not just stepping into an art center—you're entering a piece of Lake City’s living history. We are honored to preserve this space and ensure it remains a welcoming, creative gathering place for generations to come.
