Shelley Read: Go As A River

Lake City Arts is thrilled to host local Colorado author Shelley Read on Saturday night, June 27. Her debut novel, Go as a River, is an international bestseller that has sold over a million copies worldwide, has been translated into thirty-four languages, and is currently in development for film with the Mazur Kaplan Company. The novel is set near Lake City in Iola, Colorado, which now sits underneath Blue Mesa Reservoir. Shelley Read has enjoyed vacations in Lake City since childhood and is thrilled to support Lake City Arts. Pick up a copy of her book, Go as a River, and get ready for an amazing night. There are a whole bunch of fun new water-soluble art supplies on the market.  Before you buy, come play with our stash!  Ink pencils, watercolor pencils, water-soluble crayons, vibrant liquid watercolors, glitter paint, granulating colors, iridescents…..the list goes on and on.

We will just ‘play‘ with no goal other than experimentation and freedom with new ’toys’.

Please register so we know how many chairs to set up. This gathering is free but small donations will be accepted to cover the cost of good quality paper.  Drinks available for purchase.
