Plein Air Painting Class
Step outside and into the heart of the landscape in this immersive plein air painting class. Set in a vibrant wildflower-filled mountain meadow, you'll learn to capture the beauty of nature directly from observation. Using a classic French easel setup, participants will be guided in creating a scenic mountain composition while exploring light, color, and atmosphere in the open air. No prior painting experience needed—just bring your sense of wonder and creativity.
Please dress for the weather and bring water.
What is Plein Air Painting?
Plein air is a French term meaning “open air.” Plein air painting is the act of painting outdoors, on location, to capture a scene in real time. This approach emphasizes natural light, atmosphere, and direct engagement with the landscape, resulting in spontaneous and lively works of art.

This event fosters creativity and strengthens family bonds through shared artistic expression. Whether you’re painting, crafting, or exploring new techniques, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Come and create lasting memories together!
Families can drop in and choose from several craft options, allowing everyone to explore their creativity at their own pace.
