Shelley Read: Go As A River
Lake City Arts is thrilled to host local Colorado author Shelley Read on Saturday night, June 27. Her debut novel, Go as a River, is an international bestseller that has sold over a million copies worldwide, has been translated into thirty-four languages, and is currently in development for film with the Mazur Kaplan Company. The novel is set near Lake City in Iola, Colorado, which now sits underneath Blue Mesa Reservoir. Shelley Read has enjoyed vacations in Lake City since childhood and is thrilled to support Lake City Arts. Pick up a copy of her book, Go as a River, and get ready for an amazing night. Peter the Rock
Peter the Rock is a one-man play performed by Jim Walker that portrays the life, faith, and struggles of the Apostle Peter. The performance often focuses on Peter's transformation from a flawed disciple into a courageous leader, frequently depicting him in his final hours, facing martyrdom and reflecting on his experiences with Jesus.
Mito de Soto: An Evening of Guitar
Guitarist-Vocalist, Mito de Soto, brings an amalgam of multiple genres into his fiery Flamenco for an interesting and eclectic style. Coupled with his powerful voice and thoughtful lyrics, the evening will be one to remember.

There are a whole bunch of fun new water-soluble art supplies on the market. Before you buy, come play with our stash! Ink pencils, watercolor pencils, water-soluble crayons, vibrant liquid watercolors, glitter paint, granulating colors, iridescents…..the list goes on and on.
We will just ‘play‘ with no goal other than experimentation and freedom with new ’toys’.
Please register so we know how many chairs to set up. This gathering is free but small donations will be accepted to cover the cost of good quality paper. Drinks available for purchase.

Vendors: $10 per table, first come first served. Doors open for vendors at 9:00 am sharp for set up only. Venders agree to stay open until 2:00.
Doors open to the public at 10:00 am and close at 2:00 pm.

Come join Becky Daniels to create your favorite holiday decorations in felt. I have cookie cutters in fall leaf and holiday shapes. You can also free form any shape you want; I’m making holiday cards with felted cardinals. All felt, tools and instruction will be provided. Grab a friend and come enjoy an evening sipping your favorite beverage and creating felted wonders. Fee: $30
