Paint your own Pottery
Unleash your creativity in this hands-on pottery painting class with instructor Lori Bowling! Participants will paint pre-made ceramic pieces using colorful underglazes and simple techniques, creating a design that reflects their own unique style. Lori will offer guidance and inspiration, making this class perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike.
After the session, all pieces will be glazed and kiln-fired for a lasting, professional finish, ready for pick-up within about a week.
2-Day Oil Workshop

Join Western artist Katie Briggs for a welcoming and informative experience designed to make oil painting approachable and enjoyable. Whether you're just starting out or looking to build confidence, Katie will guide you through the essentials with clarity and enthusiasm.
About the Instructor:
Katie Briggs is a self-taught Western artist known for her rustic yet vibrant work. Though oil painting is a newer passion, Katie has been immersed in art since childhood. Her down-to-earth teaching style and genuine love for the craft create a supportive space for artists of all levels.

Paint & Sip - Aspen Canopy
Join local artist Maddie Bloomer for a relaxing evening of creativity at our Paint & Sip event! In this class, Maddie will guide you step-by-step through painting a stunning aspen canopy, capturing the vibrant textures and colors of these iconic trees. LCCS High School Play - Deliriums Daughters
When four suitors arrive to ask for the hands of Signor Di Lirio's three lovely daughters, the old gentleman agrees, as long as they have the approval of their mother. And that's where the problems begin—the old man's wife died three years ago, and he has gone so mad with grief that he still believes she is alive. However, one of the suitors is the town scoundrel, Giovio, who plays a series of kind-hearted but hilarious tricks that bring the father back to sanity and the intended couples together. Before all is done, the four men have been forced to dress up as their own mothers, and Giovio pretends to have died and appears as his own ghost to haunt to old man's home.

Felting Class - Sheep
Come join Becky Daniels to create felted wool sheep! Monthly classes will be offered to felt other animals. You can create a full menagerie this summer. Wool dryer balls are a natural way to reduce wrinkles and static. No previous felting experience necessary.

Hand Built Bowls (Part 1)
In this two part class you will hand build your own bowl using a mold! Lori will teach you the techniques of clay sculpting!
The first part of this class will be building your bowl out of clay. In the next part of the class you will glaze your bowl. The second part of this class is March 28th.

Mike Henry - Watercolor Value and Light Workshop (Day 2)
Join Mike Henry as he gives step-by-step instruction in basic concepts that are fundamental to capturing the beauty that surrounds us!
All supplies included, but it is recommended that students bring a watercolor sketchbook. If you prefer to work in a different medium, feel free to bring your own supplies.
Mike is a master of using light and color in his pieces. He has received numerous awards and watercolor society memberships and his work has been featured in watercolor magazines.
We are so fortunate to have Mike bring his relaxed, straight-forward instructional style and ability to coach students of all abilities to Lake City Arts!
Topics we will cover:
warm-up by making a 10 step value scale
working with the same, simple composition, paint 3 watercolor sketches: high key, middle key, low key
set the mood and atmosphere by keying your tonal values
mapping 3 tonal values from a contour sketch
tie similar values together to make stronger shapes
create depth by using adjacent and contrasting values
orchestrate the light and dark values to make a dynamic composition
front light, top light, side light, ¾ light
manipulating values
counterchange
Mike will then help each student apply these concepts to create a larger final piece.
