Autumn Ripples: Sip and Paint
Join Maddie for a fun evening. Paint a lovely autumn scene while you sip a drink of your choice and visit with friends.
Paint with Paper Collage Class
In this class we will ‘paint’ a landscape or abstract painting using different papers. In this 3 hour workshop, you'll learn about the different kinds of collage, history of collage and famous artists who use it. You will learn about art composition and color theory which can be applied to many other art mediums. Please bring any paper you'd like to use - including old watercolors you'd like to repurpose!
Collage is a fun way o create even if you think you can’t draw or paint!
Look Again - iPhone Photography
Look Again. In this hands-on class, you’ll explore iPhone camera features to improve your awareness of beauty in the most unexpected places - you'll learn to create intriguing and one of kind art. Bring your iPhone and get creative. All experience levels are welcome.
Halloween Garlands
Create your own easy, needle-felted garland using your favorite fall theme. You can choose from a variety of Halloween symbols and/or fall leaves. Make as many as time allows and string them with decorative felt balls. Your final garland will be ready to hang at the end of class. Bring a friend, grab a drink and have fun!
Costume Illustration Class
Design costumes that tell a story. In this hands-on illustration class, you’ll sketch characters, explore color, and experiment with texture as you bring wearable art to life. No fashion background needed—just curiosity and a pencil. 🎨
Guided by a former costume designer, this easy and quick technique is a fun way to create your own designs. You’ll develop your own costume concepts while learning practical drawing techniques you can use at home. 🌟 Lake City Arts invites you to grow your creative voice in a relaxed, community-focused studio setting.
We will be following this class with costume construction classes in October.
Colored Pencil Succulents
Explore the possibilities of colored pencils. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn simple drawing techniques by focusing on succulents. All experience levels are welcome.
Homemade Crackers and Spreads Cooking Class
Stir, roll, and bake alongside Mandy as she turns simple ingredients into flavorful homemade crackers and spreads 🥖. No experience needed—just curiosity and a wish to play in the kitchen.
You’ll learn hands-on techniques, share tastings, and bring home recipes to keep creating. This workshop is part of Lake City Arts’ mission to weave art—culinary included—into everyday community life 😋.
First Friday

Peter the Rock
Peter the Rock is a one-man play performed by Jim Walker that portrays the life, faith, and struggles of the Apostle Peter. The performance often focuses on Peter's transformation from a flawed disciple into a courageous leader, frequently depicting him in his final hours, facing martyrdom and reflecting on his experiences with Jesus.
Fajitas, Corn Relish and Peach Salsa
Join Mandy and John Coy for “Fajitas, Corn Relish and Peach Salsa,” a hands-on cooking experience that stirs together the fresh flavors of summer. Learn simple techniques, share recipes, and enjoy a meal made in community. Please bring a 2 pint jar to take corn relish home to enjoy.

Silk Scarf Painting Class
MAKE ART YOU CAN WEAR. Join Artist Dawn Freeland for this workshop which will introduce you to the ancient art of silk painting.
You will create your own fashion accessory by painting on a 100% silk scar using dye, not paint. The class will include instructions on how preparing silk for painting, how to apply the dye to create different textures, how to use resist, and some suggestions for designs.

Ute Mountain Ute Indian Dancers
Come experience some Colorado History with the Red Sky Drum Group
The Red Sky Drum Group is a traditional Native American drum and dance troupe from the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe in southwestern Colorado. They perform indigenous storytelling, social dances, and powwow singing to share the heritage of the Weenuche Núuchi-u people

Kids Art Camp
Kids Art Camp invites young artists ages 8-18 to explore painting, drawing, and creative projects with guidance from local art teacher Gaea 🎨. Each week, campers experiment with new materials, build skills, and discover their own style.
