Bob Johns, PresidentFor more than 30 years, Bob Johns and The Kitchen Source have been installing what he describes as a “piece of art in the home that becomes integral to daily life.” With a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and an MBA degree in Finance, he originally envisioned a corporate career and a corner office. David Palmer, Vice PresidentPianist David Palmer has performed throughout the United States and Europe since the early 1990’s, both as soloist and chamber musician. Palmer is the Artistic Director and founder of Chamber Music Amarillo, which embarks on its 22nd season this fall. David also founded and served as Artistic Director of the Quartz Mountain Music Festival in Oklahoma from 2006-2011. Dave Dayvault, treasurerDave Dayvault is a CPA specializing in oil and gas matters. He divides his time between Wichita, Kansas and Lake City. An avid hiker, Dave and his German Shepherd, Ziggy can regularly be found in the back country, keeping the area trails safe from cats.
Donna WallerMarried Larry Waller, Lawton, OK in 1966, and they have four children and three grandchildren. Received a bachelor degree from O.U. in 1966 and a MAT from OCU in 1977. Has an American Montessori teaching certificate from OCU and taught in two Montessori schools. She taught English and Social Studies in public schools and retired in 2003. After 2003, they lived in Dallas, TX for several years and worked for their son, Logan and daughter Hallie in their real estate business.
Peggy BalesBorn in Fort Worth and raised in Boulder and Colorado Springs, Kerry graduated from CU Boulder in Art History. Career years were spent working in Financial Services and Real Estate. Kerry is dedicated to helping Lake City become even more of an artist’s community through her volunteering at LCA and continues her own work as an aspiring artist and avid crafter.
Amy HumphreysAmy Humphreys is a Lake City native. Married to Dan Humphreys for fourteen years, they have four fantastic kids. Amy helps run the well known Hartmann Family ice cream business San Juan Soda Fountain as well as co-owning the seasonal gift store Timberline with my brother Christian. Having been involved with Lake City Arts since she was a little girl, she enjoys singing, dancing, heading up youth arts programs and in the community at large, volunteering and getting out in the mountains with her f
Harvey DuCheneI was born in Royal Oak, Michigan, spent my teenage years in Fullerton, California and received my education in geology at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. After earning a B.A. in 1968, I spent 3½ years in the U.S. Navy, serving as a ship’s navigator and attaining the rank of Lieutenant. After the Navy, I returned to UNM, earned a M.S. degree, and in 1973 moved to Denver, Colorado where I enjoyed a 42-year career as a petroleum geologist. My wife Kathy and first visited Lake City in
